Some
can define as the way to produce an exact copy of a
plant from its cells or in another terms as cloning,
stem culture, tip culture etc. However, the proven success
from our 2 years research seems very positive with a
specifically defined tip culture. Our research team
admits that commercially this kind of propagation can
not yield the viable result on the return of investment
and time comparing to the grafting or budding methods,
the Plumeriathai management, however, hopes that this
experiment can one day be very useful to some plumeria
cultivars that may prohibit or have least to success
on the normal ways of propagation. Though in practice,
the procedures require consistency in steps of tip selection,
sterilization, tools and temperature control, our achievement
is considered successful at 80% level. We are still
monitoring further on its growth under natural environments
and studying its mutability from using the applied chemicals
and hormones.
